The Boat
The Viking Rose is a cutter rigged, full keel, heavy displacement sailboat.  She is a
classic double ender with a well deserved reputation as a "go anywhere" ocean going
sailboat.  She is a Westsail 42, hull # 111 of 120 built.  It is reputed that all but one of
those built are still cruising around the world.  It is often said that the boat can handle
anything thrown at her, much more than the crew can handle.
